NYAHUKA, BUNDIBUGYO, UGANDA– The fourth edition of the 5Guys Onlife Trophy (OT) reached a tumultuous and historic conclusion on January 9th, 2026, at the Kisubba Primary School pitch.
In a final defined by both competitive grit and sideline tension, Kaghema PSG (formerly known as Picfare Boys) secured their first-ever championship title, unseating the defending champions, Nyahuka United.
A Journey to Professionalism
The OT25 edition, which commenced in November 2025, was marked by a heightened focus on administrative discipline. Tournament organizers implemented rigorous registration standards—requiring full fees, official logos, and player passport photos for team albums.
These measures were designed to prepare participating teams for the transition to professional tiers, such as district and regional leagues.
The Final: A “Warzone” at Kisubba
The championship match between Kaghema PSG and Nyahuka United lived up to its high stakes, though it was marred by escalating fans and players volatility.
Despite the “warzone” atmosphere, Kaghema PSG’s Sam Ramsey found the back of the net in the final five minutes of regulation time, scoring the match’s only goal.
The closing stages were fraught with difficulty for match officials; reports indicated that one assistant referee briefly lost sight of play due to interference from the fanbase. While organizers and officials scrambled to maintain order, the match was concluded with Kaghema PSG declared the victors.
This win marks a significant milestone for the “Wolves of Kaghema”. After reaching the finals twice in previous years only to fall short, their third attempt proved successful.
This victory caps off a dominant season for the club, which also secured the Honourable Ntabazi Harriet Soca Gala in December 2025.
Following their late-surge recovery in the group stages, history in OT, Kaghema PSG was nominated as Best Team of the Year, with Manager Kyalimpa Robert taking home Best Coach of the Year honors.

Third-Place Scuffle and Disciplinary Action
The day’s proceedings began with a controversial third-place play-off between Pinnacle FC Kaghema and Vipers FC Busoru. In an effort to enforce strict timekeeping, organizers penalized Vipers FC for a two-hour late arrival. Following tournament regulations, the match was shortened to 30 minutes with a one-goal penalty assessed against Vipers.
Pinnacle FC was awarded a 1-0 victory after the 30-minute period ended goalless. The decision led to a heated exchange between Vipers FC affiliates and spectators, but tournament officials remained firm.
Article VII:1 (OT25 Rules) States:
For order, discipline and time keeping by teams, we can put other regulations during match days.
“The Onlife Trophy does not discriminate or favor any team,” the organizers stated. “Our aim is to bring discipline and professionalism to the game.”
The tournament’s disciplinary committee has since confirmed that several players have been suspended from all activities affiliated with the Bundibugyo District Football Association (BDFA) for a year following to harm caused too referees during the event.
Looking Ahead: The 2026 “PRO Edition”
Despite the unexpected conduct issues during the finals, the management of 5Guys Books and Sports Centre Nyahuka —the tournament’s primary sponsors—has confirmed ambitious plans for the future.
As the competition approaches its fifth anniversary, the upcoming OT26 will be branded as the “PRO Edition”. Celebrated as the top youth-led and fully sponsored football tournament in Bundibugyo District, the fifth-anniversary edition is expected to be a landmark celebration of life, community and sport.
Organizers have issued a final call to all teams and fans to embrace discipline and sportsmanship for the good of their own Football Clubs. As the tournament continues with its mission of promoting football and talent. As well as the Game Changer Onlife Trophy Tournament grows in prestige and professional standing.
