The Final Four: Clash of Titans in the Onlife Trophy 2025

The stage is set, the grass is primed, and the atmosphere in Kaghema Town Council is electric. As we enter the Semifinals of the Onlife Trophy 2025 (OT25).

The prestigious 4th edition of the  5Guys Shop sponsored tournament. Only four teams remain. Each has a unique story, from defending champions fighting for their crown to hungry new entrants looking to make history.

Here is everything you need to know about the warriors battling for a spot in the Grand Finale.

Nyahuka United FC: The Disciplined Defenders

The reigning kings are back. Hailing from Nyahuka TC, Nyahuka United are no strangers to the high-pressure environment of the Onlife Trophy, having participated in three editions.

The Journey:

Despite being the OT 2024 Champions, their road this year started with a stumble. A “strangling” performance in the opening games left fans worried, but the champions have since found their rhythm.

The Reputation:

Known as the most disciplined and organized side in the league, they are the gold standard for professionalism, especially noted for their punctuality on match days.

The Mission:

Their goal is simple: Defend the Trophy. To do it, they must overcome a psychological hurdle—they face Vipers FC, the team that took points from them during the group stages.

Vipers FC Busoru: The Unbeaten Contenders

If there is a team that strikes fear into the hearts of opponents this year, it is the Vipers. Coming from Kisuuba Sub-county, this team is on a mission to upgrade their two-time participation status into a championship title.

The Form:

Vipers FC boasts the best start of the season among all semifinalists. They enter the knockout stage unbeaten, carrying a massive wave of momentum.

The Big Test:

They aren’t just playing any team; they are going head-to-head with the defending champions, Nyahuka United. Having already beaten them in the groups, the Vipers are confident they can dethrone the kings and boost their first-ever OT title race.

Kaghema PSG: The Wolves of the Host Town

The “Wolves of Kaghema” are the veterans of the tournament. With four appearances and two previous final finishes, Kaghema PSG is the most experienced side remaining.

The Home Advantage:

As the host team from Kaghema TC, they have the loudest supporters in the stands.

The Resilience:

Their tournament nearly ended before it began after losing their first two group games. However, like true wolves, they fought back from the brink to secure a semifinal spot.

The Derby:

The semifinals have served up a mouth-watering “Kaghema Town Derby.” They will battle their neighbors, Pinnacle FC, for local bragging rights and a ticket to the final.

Every tournament needs a “Cinderella story,” and in OT25, that story belongs to Pinnacle FC. Also hailing from Kaghema TC, the new entries have proven they belong with the elites.

Not only did they score the very first goal of this edition, but they also achieved the impossible by eliminating the two-time Champions, Young Blood FC.

The Star Power:

Keep your eyes on Kutinga Vincent. He is currently the tournament’s top scorer, netting a sensational 4 goals in 4 matches.

The Rivalry:

Playing against their town-mates, Kaghema PSG, Pinnacle FC is looking to prove that the new kids on the block are ready to take over the neighborhood.

Rules and Regulations Onlife Trophy 2025

Article I: Scope and organization

  1. Onlife Trophy Football Tournament’s scope is to promote local talent in sports by bringing youths together in a neutral and corruption-free football competition organized by fellow youths.
  2. This annual Football Tournament is sponsored and organized by 5Guys Books and Sportings Centre Nyahuka. A few individuals are selected to help in its management and running.
  3. The Onlife Trophy caters for all. This is clearly seen when it comes to the tournament’s awards, whereby the best four teams share slightly equal prizes.
  4. More than eight merit and nomination based prizes are also awarded. For example; the top scorer, the best Goalkeeper, the best referee, the best manager, the most disciplined team, extra.
  5. Onlife Trophy is officially registered and affiliated with Bundibugyo District Football Association (BDFA) as an annual District Tournament.

Article II: Team Registration and Terms

  1. The registration fee for new teams in the tournament is UgShs. 80,000 only.
  2. Teams that have ever participated get registration offers accordingly. For example the Champions OT24 free participation, three times participants pay only 30K. Semifinalists OT24 pay 40k only and any other Team that has ever played in OT pays 60K.
  3. Any Team to participate in OT25 is supposed to submit an official Team logo.
  4. Every Team is supposed to register its players by filling the registration forms in the stipulated time on our calendar of events.
  5. Every team is supposed to register up to 25 players and their main Team officials.
  6. A team is supposed to submit passport sized photos of their selected team to make a team album.
  7. Only players on that team album are supposed to play in that specific team.
  8. Only registered players and officials will be allowed to enter freely to participate in their match when entrance is not free.

Article III: Players and Match DAYS

  1. A player and a team should both agree before a team player list or album is made.
  2. A player should be registered in only one team
  3. If a player is registered in two teams, he will be considered a player of the first team that registered him on Team Album, in case a better resolution is lacking.
  4. A team that uses a player not in their player Album will be fined and can be disqualified automatically.
  5. Any player who gets a direct red card, he is supposed to miss the next match.
  6. A team must report in time, at least 45 minutes before the kickoff.
  7. Late coming of teams is highly discouraged as it can lead to fining.
  8. Full Time of a match will go for 70 minutes plus added time decided by the Referee. According to the situations of the match day, the referee has the right to state the appropriate Full time.
  9. In case a match is disturbed by calamities like rainfall: if the match will have been played up to the 75% of the stipulated FT, the game will be stopped, standing results retained and the remaining minutes will be played on another day agreed upon by the teams and the organizing committee. If the game is called-off before the above minute, the game will be replayed and results nullified.This can be applied in knockout stages or any other game.
  10. Injuries and other related situations that may occur during match day, responsibility is not for the Organizers

Article IV: Teams and Officials

  1. Team officials are expected to cooperate with the organizers for the smooth running of the Tournament
  2. Two to Three team officials or players are expected to be active participants in the WhatsApp group of OT Teams for quick updates and collaboration.
  3. Teams should show good discipline
  4. Teams should tame their fans not to create disorder during matches.
  5. In case of damage as a result of misconduct of a player or a team or a fan, the subject involved will be responsible in person.
  6. A team should be smart during match day.

Article V: Law and Misunderstandings

  1. Any misunderstanding should be reported to organizers in time.
  2. Any team to write a petition letter, it is supposed to be done within the same day of the match and before midnight.
  3. Petition fee of UgShs. 30,000 should accompany the petition letter within the same time limit.
  4. In case of a petition, the involved team should show clear evidence.
  5. In case a knockout game is played up to Full Time and becomes late and impossible to play penalties, either the penalties will be played on another day or the two teams should be ready to collaborate financially to replay Full Time on another stipulated date.
  6. Any player, Team official, referee or Onlife Trophy STAFF who will be involved in corruption to favor or discriminate against any Team will be penalized by 5Guys Management and can be reported to BDFA for further penalties. They are expected to do their work properly to avoid double standards.
  7. Teams and their fans should keep law and order, otherwise the organizers will not be responsible for any circumstances apart from calling law enforcement agents.
  8. Since it is said that there are teams that use witchcraft (Bisingo) publicly, in case a team or a player or a fan is involved such, three points and two goals will be deducted from their points during group stages, and during knockout stages the team can be bound to automatic disqualification.
  9. No team or player or fan should accuse another team for having used witchcraft (Bisingo) without clear evidence. In case a team is involved in such, it will be deducted 2 points and 1 goal in group stages and during knockout stages the team can also be bound to automatic disqualification.

Article VI: Awards

  1. Onlife Trophy is very inclusive and tries to award every team that participates.
  2. It awards the best four teams, and gives various discounts to teams that participate during the registration fee of next season.
  3. The Organizers are determined to award the Winner with UgShs. 350,000, and the second with UgShs. 250,000. The third team with UgShs. 150,000 and the fourth team UgShs. 80,000.
  4. The winner will lift and celebrate with the Onlife Trophy Cup for a period that is not more than 1 month. If the winner will need to have his own trophy, part of his award will be used to buy it.
  5. Teams that will have participated in OT25 will get registration fee offers in OT26 accordingly
  6. The best four teams will be awarded a certificate of their position.
  7. More than 8 merit and nomination based awards will be put in place by the organizing committee. For example: The best goalkeeper, top scorer, best coach, disciplined team, best referee etc.
  8. Merit and nomination based awards can be monetary or medals.

Article VII: Knowledge of Football Rules

  1. For order, discipline and time keeping by teams, we can put other regulations during match days.
  2. Teams and players should be updated about the new rules and regulations of Football by our DFA, FUFA and FIFA at large.

5Guys Onlife Trophy a Tournament that levels your Team Capacity to a professional level is back.

Launched in August 2022, Onlife Trophy Football tournament will be featuring the fourth edition this year 2025.

The tournament is always organised and sponsored by the 5Guys Books and Sports Centre Nyahuka. Located at Kamanda Street Nyahuka TC, Uganda. 

Also known as 5Guys Shop, it deals in Sports materials, Stationery and gives a quality touch in digital printing of jerseys, t-shirts and photos.

Key rules onlife trophy 2025

It is important to note that the full rules and regulations will be published in September 2025. 

Though the 5Guys Shop Management earlier outlined three Key rules which Must be followed for a team to play in this fourth edition. 

The Key rules are as follows;

  1. Submitting Official Team Logo
  2. Due time payment of registration fee
  3. Submitting Team album in Time.

As for our tradition, this tournament is played at the end of every year. 

Meanwhile as we gear towards our mission of transforming our community game, we give ample time to Teams to prepare for this competitive tournament. 

Therefore, our tentative program gets out in August and gives a period of three months to Team officials to prepare accordingly.

For example, team officials Sign new players, revive a fan base, develop means to support their campaign and give players momentum in the field late November. 

In this edition 5Guys Shop management as the sponsors of this tournament will respect this calendar.  More especially the mentioned Key Rules and the deadline for the registration process.

The 5Guys Onlife Trophy is a Game Changer tournament.  That gives Teams an opportunity to test their capacity level in a tournament conducted professionally.  In addition it is corruption free and merit based.

The defending Champions 2024 is Nyahuka United FC while the first and second edition was won by Nyakakindo Young Blood Fc also locally known as Team Bikopo.
