Bwamba King 9th Coronation Anniversary Ceremony

Njoghu ya Bwamba – the Bwamba King enthroned in cultural power on 30th of May 2014. Today the 30/05/2023 marked nine years since that enthronement.  That function was held at Kawamala (Booma) grounds in Bundibugyo Town. It saw His Excellent the President of Uganda Yoweri Museveni institute Obudhingiya Bwa Bwamba (OBB) as a Cultural insititution.

The 9th Bwamba King coronation anniversary at Busunga Primary School was very colorful. Thousands of Banabudhingiya graced the ceremony. It saw the Young and old, those living in Bundibugyo district and beyond at Busunga Primary School. representatives from various cultural institutions (Kingdoms) also were present.

The speech of Njoghu ya Bwamba – The Bwamba King, His Highness Martin Ayongi Kamya was brief and straight to the point. First of all he thanked all the categories of people who graced the ceremony.

Secondly he called upon Banabudhingiya to be careful and open minded on the new and foreign cultures. In particular he insisted that it is not our culture having same sex marriages. The Bwamba King maintained that he does not want to hear such habits happening.

Thirdly, he stated that:

We are the ones who are responsible for bringing the solution of the food scarcity in the District”. In my message of Easter I told you, even if you have a small plot, use it, and have a food crop you have planted. Which will reduce the amount of money you spend and go outside Bundibugyo.

He later assured the people of Busunga Town Council that he will be back in their locality on 01/08/2023.  Mainly to solicit funds to roof their main mosque. This was due to the much love and support the hosts showed Him.

Omudinghiya – The Bwamba King walks in 09th anniversary

In the morning of 26/05/2023 the Bwamba King led his followers in a cultural walk. The King’s walk – Okukemba kw’Omudinghiya‘ is an annual event that is done towards His coronation anniversary.

The people of Bwamba were very excited walking with His Highness Omudinghiya Martin Ayongi Kamya (OBB King). The King was accompanied by His Prime Minister Hon. Mubuliya Steven and his cabinate ministers.

The theme of this year’s walk was: Raising our flag high for the social economic transformation of Banabudhingiya. The walk started from Bubukwanga Sub county headquarters. It ended at Bugombwa Primary School.

The Njoghu ya Bwamba (the Bwamba King) in his speech expressed his gratitude. To his people who came to walk with him. That they should keep that fire burning. He further confirmed that the 10th anniversary will be led by the Women sector as they asked.

Before the King spoke, the prime minister Hon. Mubuliya Steven also thanked Banabudinghiya forhaving graced this event. He said that it has been a physical exercise that served as a natural medication for everyone who was involved.

He further asked the intervention of the King in the following. Firstly, in the new Rubella virus (Kaselu) that has bed lined a number of young and elderly people in the entire district. To the Bwamba people he asked that they should be available for vaccination when they are called for.

Secondly he asked the intervention of the King and other leaders in the issue of food security. He added that Bundibugyo was an exporter of food crops but now they depend on food imported from nearby districts (places). “Hunger is a big problem”, he acclaimed.

Lastly he asked the Banabudingiya to keep supporting OBB. Especially in the coming 09th coronation anniversary.

The walk had a final destination at Bugombwa playground. Where the OBB King was received by the parish priest of Bugombwa Catholic parish and other leaders of this locality.

Batolu Clan have been Crown Winners By Obudingiya bwa Bwamba King

It was a who-is-who show at Christ School Bundibugyo playground in Nyahuka Town Council
the Sunday of 19th June 2022 as the Batolu clan played against the Babandi.
The game went on well though bad weather first caused alarm.

The Chief Guest of the Finals was
His Highness Martin Ayongi Kamya, Omudingiya wa Bwamba.
He was accompanied by a couple of His Ministers
and other OBB Cultural leaders

The two teams: Batolu and Babandi played well the 90 minutes,
trying to drop some shots on target but no player
put a clinical finish to shake the nets. This took the game to penalties.

The Batolu Clan reached the finals for the first time (winning mostly in penalties)
since the foundation of the annual OBB Tournament.
On the other hand, they never gave a chance to Babandi to lift the trophy.

The players of Batolu clan together with their clan-mates
were extremely happy as they celebrated their Victory.
Their coaching team was ripe for Joy for being the 2022 Champions.

Thousands of fans- Banabudingiya came in
to witness the Finals and listen to their King, Njoghu ya Bwamba.

Obudhigiya Bwa Bwamba Health Walk 2022

The Health Walk started from St. Mary’s SS Simbya to Busunga primary school on 25th May 2022.

It is part of the celebrations of the 8th anniversary of the coronation ceremony of the Njoghu ya Bwamba; His Highness Omudhingiya Martin Ayongi Kamya.

The King of the Cultural institution was instituted in his reign on 30/05/2014.

The health walk led by the King involved thousands and thousands of people from different places all over Bundibugyo and Beyond.
